And this is why we don't buy shiny computer cars just because they look cool
So for those that don’t know sometimes when a car’s dash screen overheats “ghost touching” occurs and random buttons are pressed. In my car, it means that the previous button gets pressed repeatedly every time it’s over 96 outside🤬🤬

I have a 2016 with a screen but I guarantee op has one of those that's like only screen no buttons

(OP) my car is near 10 and I bought it for the trunk space (hatchback). The screen is only really used to access the entertainment and the rest is physical buttons (would never go full digital). This is also the first I’m having this problem which I think is partially due to the fact that there’s no longer a tree shading the area where I park it (it fell during Helene) and now the car is overheating like crazy.

I also think part of the issue is the placement of the screen being on top of the dash rather than built into the console like most cars, my parents’ included.
