I like some of Sabrina Carpenter’s songs but I can’t stand the public image she tries to cultivate of being a girl power feminist when the majority of her content is so centered on being with men.

Not saying you can’t be a feminist and also be with a man in the slightest, but when so much of her content is focused on men (even if she’s killing them in her mvs or calling them stupid), it’s still incredibly man-centric. And if anything its normalizing men being not so great for a lot of impressionable people

you’re right, she never explicitly claims to be a feminist, let me rephrase: I don’t like the public image being cultivated suggesting that Sabrina Carpenter is a feminist, usually by her fans not so much herself.
