This actually isn’t dystopian. It’s basically a more if Twilight had characters that weren’t super incompetent. Magical creatures, specifically Elves, set in then modern day America, so late 2,000s. Actually likable characters and realistic relationships even with the fantasy settings. Like I said, Conflicted feels a little pointless, but having the main character’s memory of her soulmate erased and seeing if they’d ever naturally fall in love again is a concept I just love.

Oh yeah, absolutely a romance. But yeah that is weird. And then you just had semi-romantic dystopian magic/science stuff like Maximum Ride where you had the edgiest covers on earth and about half of it was worth reading 😂

Also funny that this was maybe the first sign that I wasn’t 100% aromantic lol. I say funny since when I met the guy who is now my boyfriend about a year later and we talked about books, this was one of the first series fe found that we had both read.
