I agree but I’d argue the majority of the those shitty people from back then are now magas. Maga didn’t come first, but what came first morphed into what maga is now. Or at least that behavior is common among that group.

It’s both. It’s the ideals of parents in what they expect from their children (fact checking if you get rapped and blaming women for putting themselves in situations where they can be rapped) and those decisions being informed by and stem from a maga mindset that has a screwed understanding of consent, pregnancy and abortion from rape and a collect understanding of how women should be moving abt society

It’s shitty parenting and only maga fathers (and perhaps mothers) are parenting this way. It’s bad parenting and it’s an ideal that is attached with conservative reps. It is maga, my dad hasn’t been the best father. But when he heard what the men behind us were saying about what they would do to my 14 year old sister he screamed at them and called the police. It is maga not shitty parenting, he might treat us like shit at times but would never let anyone else do it…..
