How much do you open up to your moms? I’ve been struggling and I can’t decide if I should be honest about what I’m going through, or keep downplaying it so she doesn’t see me differently

I personally don't because my mom and I are very different people and don't get along like that and I usually regret it. I also have friends that their mom is truly their best friend and that's awesome. Really depends on

Yeah I get that. My mom and I are very different and I don’t think she’d understand if I opened up to her, but at the same time I feel bad for always lying to her about what’s going on

I don't usually lie I just omit or don't get into it with her but I understand how you feel. Tbh I'm really jealous of people who are close with their moms it's something that sits heavy on my heart but I can't change it
