don’t even get me started on the people that think having kids in your 30s is too old… like people shouldn’t be having kids under the age of 25 but no one is ready for that conversation at ALL. just because you have kids when you’re a kid yourself doesn’t mean me having kids at 30 is too old.

Then you get pregnant at 20 and they tell you that you didn’t live your life 🤨 you really can never win as a woman

God FORBID you wait for a time to be financially and emotionally responsible enough to raise a child, no no you should have them right away and raise children to hate you for neglect obviously

Literally I’ll never understand people who say that. Like if we’re gonna go there, imagine having kids in your early 20s before you’re really financially stable and not being able to go out and live your life while your young and discover who you really are??? I’d argue that’s a lot worse lmao

My mom was 41 when she gave birth to my sister. She was 42 when I was in kindergarten. She is a fantastic mom and is so much better than people who had kids ridiculously young. She had no complications with my sister. People need to be realistic.

My mom had me at 42. Having a kid at 35 doesn't even feel old to me. 💀

Yeah my mom was 25 when I was kindergarten- probably would’ve been a lot better if she was 40

my mom had me at 35 and I’ve never felt like my parents were crazy old or anything. Having kids later gives you more time to be young and fun and then when you have the kids you’re more responsible and financially stable.

Imagine getting upset that I child is being raised by someone who waited to be prepared and financially stable to give their child a life they deserve, and not a life that was rushed due to peer pressure

I’m 28 with a son in kintergarten. No issues. I’ve been working as a software engineer for the past 6 years so we have plenty of income. Buying a house soon. Also our parents and grandparents help out.

“Geriatric pregnancy” became common name when mfs were trynna fuck as much as possible with poor access to doctors + women being hacked up . So dumb that 30-40 is still treated like practical child abuse

If it helps, my mom had me at 37 and my sister at 41. I knew all four of my grandparents. My grandma’s are still around at 83 and 81.

It’s definitely possible. My grandma lived to be 96 so I had 22 amazing years with her

i also think there’s some research (don’t quote me on this) that women who have children later live longer as well. i think it’s kind of sweet, it’s like our bodies know we need to live longer to stay & care for our children

There’s another reason too! Estrogen is related to good heart health. And you have an increase of that while you keep your menstrual cycle and are pregnant. Our bodies, in helping us create a baby is continuing to help us.
