I saw an interview of a woman she was from Afghanistan and she said she was praying that she was having a boy not bc she didn’t want a girl but because she didn’t want her daughter to go through the same cycle she did and I fear this is a little similar situation

This sad to say, but those babies were saved. Growing up in that “culture” would of been a lifetime of misery and torment. They hate women.

Even in India, they don’t reveal the baby’s gender until they’re born bc of things like this. They’ll try to unalive the child before it’s born. I think one of the reasons is because men bring fortune and they’re raised to be the breadwinners. And also families prefer only one girl so that girl can inherit all the gold. And they’ll try to sabotage if they know there’s another girl. It’s so fucked up.
