I’ll never understand getting a dog just to keep it in a cage. Nearly every dog in my neighborhood is locked in a cage that’s 2-4 ft

my family’s at home dog has a kennel (with an open top bc he’s just a tiny little thing) with a sq footage of id guess at least 10 feet, but we try to let him out as much as possible. we also have a few farm dogs that roam freely (but still have kennels for their protection). in other words, i fully agree/understand your point.

the point of getting a dog is to have a companion, not a house guest that you can stare at while it sadly lays in its cage 90% of the day. i don’t understand how people can do that.

Unfortunately, where I’m at a lot of them are hunting dogs so they don’t get to leave their cage unless they’re going hunting and then when they get attacked by boars they just shoot them. The rest of them seem like sweet little dogs and I have no clue why they’re stuck in a cage when they can easily be house dogs

My boyfriend works for a porta potty company so he takes porta potties to people who don’t have running water and those homes literally have their dogs in the absolute worst conditions possible it’s so horrible
