And why is men being tenacious like one of the main themes of every single movie or book. Even if it’s not about them or made for that audience there’s still a certain amount of time dedicated to being in awe of some dude who’s doing too much. And I get that on some level it’s bc of patriarchy and how men are supposed to measure their value in society and I’m sure it’s healthy to have that kind of self-generating forward momentum in life
But sometimes it’s like they get locked in and they don’t even see us anymore, they just see their own brilliant destiny or whatever and that’s how they describe their future, but they never talk about what they’re gonna do when their Mom needs help, or when their dog gets old or when they might have kids and how they’ll plan for that like when I imagine my future, those things are already there and I have to make room for my own plans
