I remember when he was running the first time mh parents had the debate on. I was in middle school and had absolutely zero knowledge of politics, no idea what democrats or republicans were. but I remember saying I agreed with Hilary and my parents yelled at me and I genuinely thought I just misunderstood and that she was saying bad things and he was great. learned very quickly that my gut feeling was right

i don’t watch the news at all to begin with. i educate myself using educational websites and reliable resources. how ironic of you to say when the news you watch pushes anti trans, anti-women, anti LGBTQIA+, racism, sexism, etc.

this was exactly my situation 😭 I thought he was stupid and they yelled at me for not liking him so I genuinely thought I just wasn’t understanding what he was saying. I remember finally trying to argue his views to my democrat friend and I was like wait this sounds dumb asf
