This is a hot one indeed, cause I kinda get both sides. Their house, their rules, and if I were a parent myself I would be disgusted if I heard anything that sounded remotely like my kid getting it on lol, but at the same time I feel like as long as you’re quiet about it and clean up after yourself I don’t see the big deal. As a parent I wouldn’t want to know that it happened or that it’s going to happen yk?

This is the one instance where I think an appropriate policy for parents is “don’t ask, don’t tell,” like we can do it as long as they don’t hear or know about it and they won’t try to stop that from happening

i mentioned my date for a sorority party back in college coming to my apartment (i lived in a studio alone) and my mom gave me a dirty look, like what i can’t have a guy sleep over in my own place, didn’t even mention sleeping WITH him

if your parents aren’t able to hear you or know when it’s happening then i don’t see what the problem is

exactly! but parents who won’t even let their adult children sleep in the same bed as their partner…. as if they’re not doing that all the time anyway. it’s like this weird purity they feel needs to go on in their house and i think it’s weird to police that

Yeah, I agree I feel like that that’s a little much not even allowing them to share beds. A little trust to begin with shouldn’t hurt as long as the couple is being respectful and decent about it

i just don’t think having sex is disrespectful because i don’t think it’s dirty or inappropriate for adults to do privately
