i mean i’ve seen historical examples of ppl referring to their partners as a “babe” from like centuries ago, but more in a romantic way. i still think calling partners babe or baby is more typically romantic than sexual, but like the daddy and mommy being sexual is pretty recent. there are some songs from the 20th century where they talk about a daddy or a mama in more of a romantic way. but i wouldn’t say they sexualized the terms until the 2000’s- 2010’s earliest.
