Most painful is ribs, face, neck, knees, fingers, ankles, anywhere where there is just a thin layer of skin separating the bone from the tattoo needle

My wrist tattoo was pretty painless. I mean I felt it fs but it was more like having a cat claw gently raked across my skin than a knife being driven into me

least painful is def the forearm

i’ve got my side (about 10 in tall mid ribs to hip) my spine and inner arm near my arm pit. most painful was my side, least was my spine. you could also see it the artist you want to go to is good with numbing cream. mine prefers to work on clients with it

My least was my shoulder blade and forearm. Most was sternum and down by my knee

Definitely don’t get a neck tattoo as your first one unless it’s like behind your ear

Spine was least painful??? I have a very low pain tolerance but I really want a spine tattoo

honestly i fell asleep while my artist was doing it, so it was for me. i also would seek and artist who will work with numbing cream. i used it for my side/rib tat but not my spine. it helps some but doesn’t take away most the pain, i will say some artists use a spary that makes everything comfortable but you have to have broken skin for it and when it’s applied it stings kinda bad for 2-3 minutes
