I can’t speak for other men but as a man who has zero experience with women I like to collect as much knowledge and exposure as possible so tht when/if I’m lucky enough to have a relationship with one I’m not going in completely blind, tht way i don’t fuck it up over something stupid Pls don’t bully me, I just wanna be as good a bf as possible 🥹
Migrant detention facility* where they are being held there until deportation which beats other countries where they actually keep you there in prison for years and again, where other countries will give you the death penalty. You act like he’s doing smth awful when it could be wayyyy worse. Attacking them how? For not letting them play in women’s sports? And for those of you who don’t know, a women is someone who has a uterus and 2 X chromosomes in case you skipped biology.
Regardless, don’t forget who you’re attacking when liberals have done the same thing. And I have nothing against Obama, I think he did a great job but that also doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t ignore the fact that so is trump. And the reason why you can’t is bc the last president you picked could barely get a sentence out and the one you wanted was dancing around and struggling with split personalities
i was literally 6 when obama was elected. don’t act like i was some diehard fan of his policies? and yes, interrupting a CHILD’s chemo therapy treatment is pretty despicable when that’s an innocent human being. you’d have to be pretty sick to let the slide by claiming a CHILD is illegal. and the sparkly emojis aren’t helping your argument.
I get what you're going for, but I do think that tying something so expressive and varied as gender to biological attributes and bodily functions unfairly limits the scope of who is considered a woman and who isn't Like I want to get my tubes tied at some point, or get a hysterectomy. Idk, but *something* so I never have children. That wouldn't make me less of a woman. Same with women who receive a mastectomy, trans women regardless of what procedures they choose to get (or none at all)
Biological sex and gender are two completely different things. I like to think of gender as more of a spectrum rather than a binary "girl vs. boy." That's why it concerns me when people equate womanhood to our bodily functions, like having a baby. It leaves out so many people, as well as reducing us down to *what we do* versus *who we are*
Yeah of course!! And don't get discouraged if you're thrown for a loop when you first dive in, it takes some time to really digest all the info out there and comparing it to how we're all taught about sex and gender when we were kids. I'd recommend checking out work from queer and trans folks since they're the experts on navigating gender expression and breaking gender expectations
I recommend On Intersectionality by Kimberlé Crenshaw, Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg, Gender Trouble by Judith Butler (more academic and dense but thorough), the documentary Paris is Burning. There's also this queer, feminist independent bookstore I stumbled upon and they have curated recommendation lists about queer and trans identities. And Lambda Legal, a queer legal advocacy group, has curated a list of black queer films that you can check out too. Here's those links below
This is by no means an exhaustive list, feel free to click around on different authors and directors and explore their influences and keep going down that rabbit hole. Queer theory (which is the more academic term for this field of study) has been around for a long time and there's a LOT to learn, I see it as an ongoing journey. Happy learning!!
