Why do some men get so pissed at the idea that they have to raise the kids they created too 😭 I just saw some mom get berated in her comments bc she “left her husband to care for their baby” and I’m like THAT’S HIS JOB BRO

My husband’s brother & god-father were flabbergasted once bc they said my husband was a “good babysitter” and my husband was like “I’m not babysitting I’m taking care of my child” and then they told me that I shouldn’t leave my baby with my husband bc my husband needs “time off”. As if it wasn’t also his decision to have our child??

I’m glad we’re all waking up to how deeply ingrained misogyny is into almost every facet of our lives. I’m so sick of pretending things like this are okay.

Hot take: men and women typically don’t have the same interests/skills due to each being biologically different (physical advantages/disadvantages in specific activities), individual thinking/processing (2 brains, different paths, same endpoint) & naturally inclined to like different things (action figures vs dolls). ITS OKAY. BOTH MEN AND WOMEN ARE EQUAL. We are allowed to exist as individual. ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING: areas where men lack, most women thrive. Areas where women lack, men thrive

Women are not biologically drawn to a doll instead of an action figure. To entirely ignore social conditioning in your comment to endorse a “separate but equal” ass take is wild.

Young boys look up to men (most action figures are men)….

And that has nothing to do w biology. That is a socio-cultural observation. You are weird.

…Testosterone production increases muscle density, increases bone density, increases bone growth… this is why men can physically lift heavier objects than women can… it’s a biological difference… (men naturally make more testosterone than women). Please don’t revert to name calling when uneducated

Like by definition it’s a biological difference

I’m not saying there are not biological differences but that is not reflected in children’s toy choices. Bffr.

Go ahead and explain why boys like male super hero action figures and girls like american girl dolls? Boys like to pretend they are the character. It’s hard for a boy to pretend he’s a girl because he’s physically, biologically, factually not a girl. Once again, it’s due to their biological makeup

If this isn’t the reason why boys pick action figures and girls pick dolls, please educate me on why they choose what they choose

Boys like the boy AGD, but not nearly as much as girls like action figures of both men and women. Everyone likes cool action heroes, but a lot of girls would rather have the action figures if they don’t have a cultural stigma telling them they’re supposed to prefer dolls.

Interesting. Makes sense. It didn’t cross my mind initially, thank you. I always thought girls liked figures/dolls of men & women because they grasp social interactions better at a young age & recreate social interactions with the male and female figures. So girls pick both genders in equal amounts? Do boys pick the opposite gender less frequently? & everyone like a cool superhero
