Curly girls. How do you combat sweat at the gym and not washing your hair everyday?

I have 2c/3a mostly and I (plus a lot of curly, wavy, or otherwise not washing everyday girls I know of) use arrow root powder. Corn starch is an okay alternative, but if you have darker hair— I recommend adding cocoa powder to it :) if more of a reddish town, I recommend adding a bit of turmeric and/or paprika to the powder (whether arrowroot or cornstarch).

sweat is honestly hard to come back from, because it isn’t good to put dry shampoo on your scalp 😫 i usually just co-wash and make sure to scrub my scalp really well under the water if i’m not willing to shampoo yet. i try to go a few days at least without shampoo

ALSO! If not leaning back on a bench that day, use butterfly clips when you do an updo. My personal hack for adding air circulation to your scalp.

No! Not especially if you just readd a little oil to the ends after brushing (usually I don’t add any extra for mid ends and whatnot if doing it). Also, if neeeing to work on distributing natural oils especially sebum— get a bristle brush.
