It was an app developed by women to warn other women of dangerous/unsavory men & u had to upload a pic of ur driver’s license and verify address and shit like that to use it

A bunch of incels on 4chan got mad about it & hacked the app. Leaked like millions of women’s addresses and posted them online I think

the app developers used also used the worst data security imaginable, putting all the women who joined the app in serious danger. Apps with decent security can still get hacked, but this app had near none, it is criminal negligence that with that kind of personal information they had so little security

That’s part of it, but from my understanding the format is a bit different but it’s more like an enormous group chat where women say stuff about men on dating apps and ask for advice and stuff, if you look at the App Store page the safety part isn’t even emphasized They also used basically zero data security and exposed women user’s ID, address, and photos to being easy to hack for vindictive men like happened from some 4Chan creeps
