hate this shit especially as a lesbian who’s in a relationship with another woman it’s so awful to watch straight women value men so much more than they do other women to the point of shunning meaningful connections with friends/family to prioritize a man they just met. it really shows how deeply ingrained misogyny is in a lot of women’s perception of themselves, other women and their place in the world

it bothers me so much as a girl that grew up with only sisters. female relationships are so incredibly important and have so much depth. i’m getting pretty annoyed at my friend because every time a guy comes around she totally ignores me or will cancel plans to hang out with a guy :(

omg or when you’re talking to a girl and she couldn’t bass the bechdel test to save her life because she just wants to talk about some man all the fucking time. a lot of women are just way too willing to diminish themselves in service of male relationships and then just end up miserable and it’s so sad. little girls deserve better than to be taught they don’t matter outside of a man
