It is subjective of course. It looks almost exactly like my engagement ring though and I know if I saw that on someone I would think they are engaged

Maybe not really your demographic but this looks like a pandora promise ring! Many promise rings look like this & personally I believe the majority would view this as such as it’s a small stone & almost fashion jewelry like. No offense at all to your own ring!!

Again, subjective. My idea of a promise ring from experience is something silver and a woven or simple studded band. Also I would argue this is not small at all.

It's very small in reality! We got it from a flea market for about $22. It looks very engagement-y but it's because I'm picky about rings!
