the way that more people are upset about someone prank calling someone at their job than someone shoving jalapeños in a 3 year olds mouth as a punishment— people don’t see kids as humans.

The whole lie that the soap in the mouth or forcing kids to eat things they don't like as punishment being that "it didn't hurt anyone" is the biggest lie of all time and I think that it's honestly worse than a lot of other punishment bc of how concussion of a decision you have to make to put your kid in discomfort. Bc my gf now can't have ANY onions without ptsd. And nobody deserves that at all.

when i cussed as a kid, my dad did the toothpaste lesson. where he told me to squeeze out the toothpaste, then told me to put it back in the tube (you can’t take back what you put out into the world) and i still think about it all the time. he actually taught me the lesson in a visual, non harmful way, and it stuck. i got lucky with a therapist parent haha. so that being said, i can’t imagine doing that to a child smh.

yeah it’s messed up. Period, it’s abuse and people don’t take it seriously. It’s honestly just degenerate behavior. I’m sorry about what happened to your girlfriend, it’s so unfair for children who grow up to have to deal with the aftermath of abuse.
