But a lot of people make criticism because they wanted the ending to be what THEY envisioned. But the writer isn’t writing the story based off of what you want. “I think the author should have expanded on X y z” is an okay thing to say. But a lot of people get so disgruntled and completely wave off the entire story and start to nit pick bc of one decision that they didn’t want

Especially when writers only have so much space to write down a story. Yeah certain series can span several books but authors typically go “I want it to be this long” and adjust if needed. So their decisions about what gets the spotlight in a story is very limited especially when you have like 50 characters. And not everything can be freaking one piece lets be serious
