idk if this helps anyone else but instead of trying to combat negative self-talk w "i'm [positive trait]" i just started thinking to myself "so what? what if i am? i still like myself" and slowly stopped being as critical and as often

no idea if i make sense LMAOO like i KNOW i'm not most of the negative things i tell myself, but using positive self-talk was never super helpful for me cuz it reinforced the idea of negative traits being punishment. pushing myself to like myself regardless of being pretty or ugly, smart or dumb, etc. also helped w ground myself in radical acceptance and see things more objectively
