It's possible that it's someone who actually hasn't seen you irl. My school has a huge problem w scammers pretending to be someone from campus to get info or money after talking for a bit

fyi, anyone can look up your phone number through the campus directory if they know your name

def a scammer - they’re not providing you any specific information about where they saw you or any real details about your school or yourself. All they know is your name and phone number, they’re probably trying to ‘befriend’ you to get more info or rope you into a scam

I’m kind of freaked out. I told him to never contact me again and blocked him, but I don’t know how he got my number and where he’s watching me from. I just want to know who he is so I can avoid him and tell my professors I don’t wanna be by him

Thank you 😭 Campus police said there was nothing to do about it rn, and I had people try to say ‘it’s probably a prank’ but what kind of prank is this? I was sick to my stomach today and now I’m carrying pepper spray with me cause I’m scared I’m being watched

I haven’t posted or been tagged in anything since February 🥲 He said his name was ‘Eddie’ and when I look up the number online, it connected to a 40 yr old man named Edriss that lives by my school. I just feel like someone with access to full online searches would be able to tell if the info is accurate

I’m not sure. It has my area code in the phone number and when I went to campus police they didn’t tell me anything, but I think I heard them saying the name of the town nearby and that’s the same town that showed up on the info I could find online
