Yes the smaller one looks better in my opinion, it would give it a cleaner look. You could go ever so slightly smaller to make it line up more, but I don’t think it would make much of a difference unless not having it line up would be something that would bother you. Take other people’s opinions for what they are though, belonging to other people! We don’t know your aesthetic or what vibes you’re looking for.
