Can confirm I remember in the sixth grade I was told to try and convert the Jewish girl in my social studies class because even though we worshipped the same god (or at least I thought we did) she didn’t worship Jesus and that was wrong. Yeah gave up on organized religion after that.

Yeah the thing is I didn’t tell my parents that I gave up on organized religion (Bible Belt so that would’ve been bad) so we went to that church til I was in high school and my parents got fed up with the “snooty nature” of the other parents. They essentially looked down on my parents for not homeschooling their kids and junk like that
