I believe that’s because a lot of women’s issues are seen as “liberal”, like the right to abortion, that only affects women. So women who support their own rights are labeled as “liberal”

men don’t give a shit about women’s healthcare apparently so they are fine with being “conservative” to fill their pockets as much as possible. my coworker (male) literally said “I just vote for whatever makes me the most money”, while women tend to be more focused on social issues and general wellbeing of the population. Not all, but many more than the men.
