
If the tampon isn’t saturated but you’re leaking, it’s likely in too far. Tampons need the blood to pass through your cervix and sort of pool in your vagina so that it can evenly coat the tampon and allow it to expand. When a tampon is in too far, it’s right up against the cervix or even past it (fornix) and blood quickly runs through one side and exits. Try inserting a bit shallower.
