It’s kinda sad how my mom just wants someone else to do the cleaning for her for Mother’s Day and doesn’t care about anything else (sad as in her wish for Mother’s Day is any other day for my dad who doesn’t do any of that)

You’re right. I’ve never had any desire for motherhood. I love children, but I’m not going through the physical hell of it to risk not even having someone to equally parent with. I still like the idea of marriage, if I can be with someone who truly makes the partnership equal. But I do think that is rare.
