I am straight and love my bf but sometimes I find it really upsetting that as a white man he will never truly understand what me and other marginalized communities go through and it makes my heart ache to feel misunderstood by the person I love the most

Do u feel empathy from him? Ive never been in a serious relationship but i imagine they compensate by like taking care of me on my period and like i at least feel understood yk
