Im going out solo in my city tonight for the first time 🥹 im getting out my comfort zone!! Any advice? I’m most likely gonna go to a bar to try a new drink and maybe light bites. Open to making friends but idk how to start the conversation sometimes

whatever you do just be careful!!! don’t drink too much so you can make sure that you’re ALWAYS aware of your surroundings. it’s not as big of a deal when you’re with a group, but if you’re alone, make sure you’re being safe!!!

and for the conversation starting, i’ve honestly found that i have a special talent for starting conversations!! i think the key is to point out something that they have/are wearing that’s cute, interesting, or just kinda out of the norm.

for example (though i doubt you’ll experience anything like this on your night out) i was at walmart the other day and saw a woman holding a BIGGGG nerf gun. i asked her if there was a birthday in the family and we ended up taking a lot about “milestone” birthdays, things with our state, and the upcoming holiday!
