I get it. I’d rather have somebody I can have a respectful debate about with different views than someone who just agrees with me (or I just agree with them)

That led to the downfall of my previous relationship too! My ex never wanted to disagree to avoid upsetting me. He would always give in at some point, not that I wanted him to, i just wanted him to see my POV and he would just accept it (but deep down he was very upset). He eventually exploded one day ofc

Its usually a facade... More than likely one is bottling up their feelings to keep the other person happy. If two people truly do agree on EVERYTHING, then thats one in a billion
