i’m so glad this includes drivers bc this one time this lady picked me and my friends (guys) up late at night and when my friend asked if he could ride shotgun since it was a bit cramped in the back she was like sure but just don’t touch me. and we were like wtf why would he do that? and she told us how the previous ride was this couple who were fighting, and the guy, drunk af, was trying to hit on her and just grabbed her boobs out of nowhere. she ended up asking them to leave mid trip
love this! i remember there was one time i recorded my ride bc the driver was getting into it with his gf and she kept calling him bc she thought he was with another girl (cheating) and im just in the backseat not knowing what to do. he tried to make me talk to her too to prove he wasn’t out cheating on her, but driving for uber instead. omg never again. that ride was the worst
Yeah I had a creepy driver once and made the stupid decision to give him my number when he asked because I was drunk and nervous. Blocked him immediately after but then he found my tiktok and other apps. I was actually so scared he was stalking me for the longest time and scared to order uber again in case he was the driver.
truth is, you weren’t there so no, you don’t know 100% what happened. it was weird as fuck and i felt uncomfortable being in the middle of their shit. save your personal shit for when you don’t have a stranger in the car with you maybe? at the end of the day, it’s a job for the drivers which makes me a customer. in what world is it okay to put someone in your drama like that who’s just trying to get from point A to point B?
hospitals aren't required to fulfill that request doctors also can't refuse to treat somebody within their relevant field on the basis of gender alone. gender would have to be some sort of inhibiting factor it's also very different considering one of these is the service industry and the other is the medical field. rules and regulations aren't 1 to 1 between the two
i agree? i fully support it. my curiosity about the legality of this in actual practice ≠ opposition. i'm just painfully aware of how the patriarchy coddles men and doesn't care about women's safety. sadly, plenty of ppl care more about that guy driver losing customers than they do about women drivers being harassed and attacked
