I PROMISE credit cards are not as scary as you think. People think having debt=bad. But now is the prime time to establish history which is so so important when it comes to bigger purchases/getting approved for lower interest rates later on
Ladies PLEASE if you are 20+ you need to have a credit card. Especially if you don’t have student loans or do and won’t make any payments until after graduating. Even if you buy a bag of chips and pay it off each month. Building credit is a NECCESSITY

Using a credit card to purchase something even small each month that you would regularly buy with a debit card or cash helps establish credit history and a history of on time payments!

Each month I typically use it for about $50-100 on something I would already be buying. This can be gas’s, groceries, toiletries/hygiene products. And pay it off in full. It doesn’t have to be used for big purchases. Don’t treat it as “oh now I have x much more money to spend!”. I promise you’ll thank yourself once you get a few months recorded and you see your cc score grow!
