Babes, I promise you are gorgeous. Society changes its beauty standards every other week, and you’ve most likely grown up on being told skinny girls are what’s sexy. I promise that’s not the only way to be pretty. I’d recommend media that promotes body positivity; as a chubby girl myself, it always helps to see people like us portrayed as beautiful, because everybody is. You are a stunning diva, and you deserve to know that

I’ve heard that some guys prefer chubbier women because they feel softer and that skinny women can be too boney and pokey. He might not be lying. I don’t know if this helps but it might put parts of your mind at ease.

Do you trust him in other ways? What do you stand to lose for taking him at his word?

Skinnier =/= healthier... i was chubby and out of shape a year ago and now im chubby and in shape, im just built sturdy. In fact my shirt size went down and im heavier bc muscle mass. Being skinny doesnt fix it if all the mental stuff is still there

Sometimes trust in words like that means practicing taking him at his word. The block you currently have to believing him doesnt have to be there and the more you hear it and commit to trusting him the more youll believe it

Like yes and no. Often w body dysmorphia even losing weight doesnt get rid of it, the person will still feel too big even when theyre small

To me it helps to respond positively every time youre complimented. Dont dismiss or shrug it off, if he tells you he thinks youre attractive or loves your body you can thank him and maybe add something you like about yourself too, like agree with him yk?
