Does anyone have tips on how to smell good 24/7? I feel like after a couple of hours my deodorant wears off and I don’t smell terrible but I don’t smell amazing either. I use gel deodorant and I’m tired of it crusting.

What #6 said! Those girls that just smell delicious 24/7? They aren’t just wearing deodorant and maybe some perfume. It’s layering their scents. I’ll use vanilla for example, use a the dial, then a vanilla tree hut sugar scrub, then wash your hair, then condition, (any other hair steps you do obviously), then a vanilla body wash/shower gel. Then the second you step out of that shower while you are still wet, rub yourself down with either a vanilla body butter, lotion, or oil,

when do u apply deodorant? its important to apply it soon after showering for it to work the best! deodorant acts as a kind of shield against the bacteria that produce odor, the sooner you put it on after showering, the sooner you have the “shield” ready

keep hand sanitizer on you and rub a little bit under your armpits to kill bacteria before you reapply deodorant

Good sugar scrub scents last for a decent long time. I would try to scent match EVERYTHING. Get a matching lotion to your body spray, to your perfume, to your body wash, to your sugar scrub. Also always use a plain disinfectant soap (dial) before all the fun scent stuff. With that being said, don’t overthink it too much, you’re doing great girl!

some ppl don’t know the reasoning behind and might put it on at a different time (i.e. putting it on while getting dressed jn the morning even tho they shower at night). i always put it on soon after showering (i shower at night most of the time) and also when im getting dressed in the morning, and bc im a dance major if im going from a dance class to a traditional academic one i also put a little extra spray on when im in the locker room. i use the secret outlast sweat and odor gel in the -

- scent “completely clean”, it’s labeled as “72 hour clear gel” but idk if that means it’s supposed to last that long lol, and its technically an antiperspirant so that might make a difference in how my body reacts to it. i pretty much always use the one that’s like labeled for athletes bc im also kind of a sweaty person in general lol

if you shaved recently maybe. don’t use too much, it’s like using alcohol to sanitize skin. but def try it with a tiny bit at home to make sure your skin can handle it (mine can). or use a wipe idc, it’s just easier than soap in a pinch.

(Or all 3 up to you!) and then do your normal after the shower stuff, deodorant/antiperspirant whichever you use, then dressed and add a vanilla body spray, and then a vanilla perfume at your pulse points. Extra points if you use vasaline in those areas then apply the perfume it lasts longer. Spray the perfume on your body, not your clothes. And then for random refreshers you can also get a vanilla hand cream to reapply through the day. Obvs this works with any scent combo you love or all the

Same scent, totally up to you. But this is what you need to do EVERY time you shower to smell good all the time. Trust, as a big girl who sweats a lot, it makes a difference and I never have anyone say I smell bad, but get many compliments on how good I smell. If I am running low on time or am doing a very low maintenance shower, I never skip the lotion part because that sticks with you all day long. And when I say that lotion needs to go everywhere, I mean everywhere! (No privates obvs)

does it matter if u put on the lotion when u are still wet vs drying off first? also would it probably still work with unscented body wash ? i have sensitive skin lol tysm for all the details!!

I think after the shower is better bc your pores are still open from the heat of the water so your skin soaks in the lotion. That’s my theory at least 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I do it after the shower but dry off a bit so the lotion doesn’t feel like it’s too sleek from the water. Also unscented is great too! As long as you have something that is antibacterial

After the shower is best for absorption, and yes! I use unscented lotion 9/10 times but this post specifically asked about smelling good so throwing in the lotion helps a lot. For sensitive skin, I’d highly look into stuff made specifically for you and put it on those pulse points to help if you are looking for scent!
