“If you don’t like the policies, then leave.” I love my country. I’d rather choke than let it use minorities as crutches for its outdated, patriarchal foundation. It takes sheer indifference, ignorance, or spite to willingly turn one’s back on their country. You’re not a patriot if you’re content with the current state of the US.

i would love to feel the same but the country was built on those same leadership qualities and exploitative systems. i'm gonna keep fighting for change because after all, this is my home, but it's hard to hope for change when the country was born with the same problems
