if our anatomy is not what makes us women, and reducing women to their biology is wrong, why do trans women undergo surgery to receive breasts and cut off or replace their genitalia?

i think this is honestly not a bad question at face value. the answer is: it’s complicated. while it may be true that womanhood is so much more than body parts or fertility, it can also be true that women (whether trans or not) have historically been made to feel like we are less feminine without those things. for example, when women get breast cancer and have to have a double mastectomy, or have infertility issues they tend to report feeling less womanly

Sex & gender are two different things. Biology doesn’t define gender & that’s been proven. Some transwomen don’t get surgery to change their genitals but some do bc of gender dysphoria which is a mental disorder.

Not once was sex even mentioned and biology one hundred percent defines the gender because that is LITERALLY how you determine the gender of someone. You even called being trans a mental disorder which proves that you’re disconnected from reality

Yeah I mistyped I meant biology doesn’t define gender. I never said being trans was a mental disorder I said GENDER DYSPHORIA is a mental disorder. Cis people deal with gender dysphoria, too

plenty of women get surgery to enhance parts they naturally have in order to feel better about their gender presentation, so to me it makes enough sense that trans women might want to do the same.
