Careful for pickpocketing if you’re going to tourist areas. Keep valuables in a closed bag in front of you like a crossbody and not a back pocket or open bag

^^ it’s so common it’s not funny. also…in rome some of the locals NOT ALL JUST SOME are very snobby. this guy cut my parents in line for a picture just bexause he lives there and he deserves it first. people can say all they want about american but lots of people in different european countries are so snobby and entitled it’s not funny

i wouldn’t do tours either because they take you to all the tourist places for food as well. my parents said they didn’t care or really like the food that much and it’s bc they went through on a tour and didn’t do it by themselves. i lowkey wish i told them they kinda wasted their money (they didn’t but they could’ve had a better time if they did it aloneg
