Men were supposed to be accountable and be their wives partner and support but for some reason church leaves that only to the women ig - a Christian who hates the church

Adam is actually brought a worse curse than eve, he messed up more than she did. He brought the curse of death, he would “work the ground and then return to it.” Adam is cited in the NT as the one who brought sin into the world, and while Eve was cursed with childbirth, she was also foretold to be the one who redeem them from the serpent, as a woman would give birth to Jesus. Adam was the greater offender bc God didn’t tell Eve not to eat from the tree, he told Adam, and then Adam told Eve….

Adam let Eve get deceived by the serpent and didn’t correct the serpent when he asked if God really said that. Eve only had secondhand information from Adam. Adam then took the fruit from Eve, seemingly confirming to Eve that God didn’t really say that. Anyways, I give this spiel because I hate when some people say that everything is cursed because of Eves sin, when the bible clearly highlights Adam as a bigger failure. Like the whole all women are evil thing because of Eve. total garbage

I agree w u. But Adam was fooled by the serpent bc the serpent said that god was lying to them bc god didn’t want them to be as powerful as god. Essentially saying that god was lying. (Or at least according to my version)

OKAY WAIT! I just read up on it. Adam bit the fruit bc he wanted to fall with his life. He directly disobeyed god simply bc of loyalty.

what do you mean? fall with his wife? they may be something that someone conjectured as a possible motivation but that’s not in Genesis 3. It just says he took the fruit from her and ate. It doesn’t necessarily say why.

But also, can we talk about how when God found them and asked Adam what happened he was like “the woman you gave me gave me the fruit.” LIKE. they really did get the audacity. no wonder his curse was worse than women’s curse

Yeah I think that was the many signs of sin, was putting off blaim. Also god says “because you listened to your wife” which is why I made that conclusion
