I actually think it’s way more nonsensical when people pin her as the sole reason for France’s shortcomings. The media has historically portrayed her as being dumb and selfish and I think it’s iconic to have reclaimed her story and begin to acknowledge the nuance and complexities that were ignored for so long

Probably not truly evil but was definitely complicit and sided with people who were against social reform I really dislike the way social media portrays her as a martyr who had no idea about anything
