they are not strict, true mormons lol. they were raised lds but besides maybe jen in season 1, NARY one of them follows the lds church’s rules closely enough to be accepted in utah

Even now in season two Jen and her husband rarely go to church bc they’ve gotten comments from people in the church to their face saying that they’re going to hell or something along those lines
