My grandpa died before I was even born but I still get teary eyed when my dad talks about his dad. Every time he says “he would’ve loved you guys so much” it killllssss me 😭😭😭

What kills me is that my mom was so very close with her mom. Talked for hours everyday. I’ve begun to do the same with my mom, and my dad has confessed he worries when we do that because the loss of my grandma was so devastating and he never wants me to experience that

he’s very emotional he gets teary a lot but the only times i’ve actually seen tears fall were when we had to put down our dogs and when pawpaw died

My dad also lost his mom pretty young (she was only 55) and he still cries about her.
