Have had much more bad female bosses than male bosses, I will say I got lucky and I currently have the most awesome caring female boss ever rn who never nitpicks… but she’s the exception and not the rule. not at vile to say tbh dudes have less of the “I fought patriarchy so you have to have it hard too” mentality. ESPECIALLY ones with daughters - they’re always so good

Personally it’s been an age preference over gender. The old ones I’ve had were so cunty and stuck up while the younger ones didn’t give a damn at all

I’ve noticed that bosses can be equally bad across gender and age ranges, their personalities and attitudes are what do it. I’ve had mostly good bosses so far, but the mercurial ones, and the ones that are too hands off, were very not good

fr there’s an older higher up guy in my office who’s super no nonsense but also so nice, he mentioned he thought he saw me over the weekend at a local niche grocery store and when I said he did see me, and it was my first time there he lit up and started explaining all the best deals there and which sections to avoid. went on for 5 min straight just about groceries. I love him
