I’m anti theist myself and I just see that being thrown around a lot when people argue about theism. Like Europe and the Middle East are the way that they are because of religion. And religion highly influences both of those cultures. This includes misogyny and colonialism

I feel it’s more the other way around honestly, like culture creates the religion and people will make texts and beliefs say whatever they want it to. But they do feed off each other

I Lowkey agree. Without religion we wouldn’t have modern European culture you know? But these are also societies that function before Abrahamic religions, and said religions completely changed those cultures
