as a pet sitter, they’re a nightmare 😭 I wish people would stop breeding them they’re not even a real breed :// idk why it’s so hard for people to just get a poodle, so many doodle owners say they get them because of the hair they have, but it’s literally just poodle hair.

this might be a stretch but I think it’s linked to misogyny !! poodles are seen as the “prissy high maintenance female dog” that no one wants

yeah that’s definitely why!! which sucks, because poodles are nice dogs. I don’t think I’ve ever met a poodle groomed like the stereotypical poodle look 🐩

I’ve met one! Standard poodles are AWESOME!! so so so intelligent and athletic and versatile
