yeah the apartment buildings can be a pain in the ass but you can always purposely drive into areas with mostly single family homes and dash over there! I’d apply regardless if you’re still thinking about it or not because it might be a waitlist in your area! most times I end up profiting including gas, really depends on your schedule and the size of your city I make the most between 9pm-3am
This might be long-winded but, I live in an area with a lot of apartment complexes and neighborhoods where the houses and buildings all look the same. It can be really hard to find different apartment buildings and houses and stuff. There’s also a lot of gated communities where they are and like 90% of the time the customer doesn’t put the code to the gate so you have to ask them for it
Also there was a time that I had to wait over an hour for somebody’s food at chipotle. And you don’t get paid for that, you only get paid when you’re on the road with the persons food. So I sat there for an hour and didn’t get paid for it. I then you have only a certain amount of time to get it from the restaurant to the customer, and where I live there’s a lot of traffic that sent me behind on those goals
Also driving stresses me out. And I live in Florida where people drive like shit everywhere so not only was it stressful driving, the active DoorDash and was also stressful for me. There is definitely a learning curve to it, and but I honestly don’t know if I would ever do it again
