I got disinvited from a trip that was originally just supposed to be for me and my bf and turned into his mother and brother coming. The reason I got disinvited is cus apparently the place we were going only allows 3 guests to a room

I was fine with him inviting his mom to come along cus she always wanted to go to the place we were planning to visit. This turned into his family vacation plan. After disinvited me he started talking about how he’s not sure if his brother and mom can afford it, then don’t go…?

I told him he needs to sit down and talk to them about it. His brother doesn’t have a job cus he just graduated college and his mom is on a tight budget. He has points saved up at the hotel they’d be staying at that expire soon so he doesn’t want to lose them. If they can’t afford it he’s going to, since he clearly prioritizes them going

Admittedly the last thing I wanted to do was play problem solver to a trip I was just disinvited from. I told him he should bear the full financial responsibility, everybody is an adult here, if their budget doesn’t allow it then don’t go and lose the points
