I started mine at 9. So weird treating periods like some strange foreign thing that needs to be kept secret. This is normal female anatomy, grow up bro. Mom’s acting like a child.

i will never understand people acting like periods are such a burden to talk about. why they should be kept secret. like? it’s natural. it’s normal. if it were men? they’d be all anyone could ever talk about.

I started mine and 9, and I was homeschooled all my life, but my mom never told me about periods, it was an awful day 🤣, I thought I was dying

i’m glad i started later, right before turning 13 (like two weeks before), because my mom didn’t teach me anything about it. if i got it at 9, i would be terrified. i didn’t learn about them until 10 bc of that one video all the 5th graders in my city had to watch unless their parents said otherwise 😭 i will be teaching my future kids about them once they start puberty, maybe sooner.

oh that’s sickening and is actually so dangerous bc children need to know the proper terms for their anatomy to keep them safe if abuse occurs

Glad she took the criticism. if she doesn’t wanna see her lil girl grow up I get that. But she should be happy to explain it to her. It’s womanhood ya know.

I got mine at 15, it’s different for everyone. Although I was also an athlete so that probably delayed it.
