gentle reminder that thin ≠ anorexic and weight gain isn’t as simple as “eating more”. smaller people have smaller appetites. as long as they’re healthy there’s zero reason to comment on their bodies. body shaming goes both ways. xoxo

Some of us also have overactive metabolisms and there’s no way to adjust that. I eat way more than ppl assume I do, my BMI is about a 16.5 and I consume the same amount of calories as my 6’2 lineman bf does. Growing up I had to supplement extra calories into my diet through calorie drinks and I still got accused of having bulimia. I’ve never been deemed medically unwell due to this, just very thin. No one knows what’s going on in someone’s life, there’s never any need to comment on someone body

I am small and I do not have a small appetite 😭 working out is the only way I get moderately bigger

Must be so hard to be skinny

Weight gain is eating more. Simple as that.

Sometimes it needs medical assistance.

Well when you’re in the hospital because you were being force fed you can have an excuse

model skinny like the beauty standard or twig like you look malnourished (when you’re actually not)

who told you that and why were you gullible enough to believe it?

it's hard being underweight since it negatively impacts your health and wellbeing, yeah. were you being sarcastic?

Basic physics. If you don’t eat you lose weight.

Even if you think it’s ‘concerning’ you’re likely just making someone’s insecurities worse. I’ve had people ask if I’m sick or if ‘those bones are supposed to show’ no typically most people cannot see someone’s ribs through their skin but that’s just how my body looks. Even if it’s from a ‘loving place’ it’s not anyone’s place but theirs and their doctor

Except that’s not really that simple.

Yes it is that simple. I think you mean it’s not that easy. If you don’t eat you lose weight, this is 100% true for any prolonged period. Because you have trouble not eating donuts doesn’t mean it’s not true

we’re genuinely living the same life but no we gotta be quiet on the creek bc “skinny people can’t be oppressed” ofc

if you’re not an underweight woman who has tried to gain weight all her life you’re wasting your time and do not have a say in this conversation

You can try to convince me 1*1 is 2 all day. Just because you think you’re different doesn’t mean you disobey basic physics

People aren’t math equations and there are millions of variables that go into it all. If you’re not a health professional, a dietician, or struggling with weight, then nothing you say matters in the slightest.

Just say you’re ignorant 🤦. People aren’t math but everything they do can still be modeled. It’s impossible to eat a certain amount and gain nothing. Just think about it.

No two bodies are alike. What works for you won’t work for everyone.

Would you say I might not ☠️ because no two bodies are like? I think you can count on it. Something’s are true regardless of you composition.

I do actually. My point is that you gain weight when you eat enough. No one can deny that.

Yeah, being more correct could be a way to do so. You can start by educating yourself and learning why you’re wrong.

Throughout all of your claims. Everyone’s body is different and reacts differently. If it were just as simple as you’re trying to pretend, people wouldn’t be hospitalised for weight issues.
