Because it’s rated E for everyone, that’s like trusting a movie rated G. You trust it’s suitable for kids based on the rating. I agree that with an online game parents should do better about looking at it to make sure it’s suitable but I think it’s more on the creators for not having varying ratings for different games. (Unless they do now, it’s been a while since I’ve played)
Why would you trust a rated E (everyone) sandbox game?? If you literally do the work as a parent and pay attention to what your kid is doing on devices YOU supply them with, you have the full and well responsibility of ensuring what they are engaging in isn’t harmful. The company owes you basically nothing and people are lucky there’s even age restriction options.
Yeah I understand your point but as a parent you can’t always monitor every single thing they do. Kids are sneaky (trust me I’ve done it) and quick to hide inappropriate stuff. If the game has mature content then it’s supposed to be rated M 17+ for mature. So I think it’s on the devs or the organization that rated the games majority fault
